The Finnish Society for Human-Animal Studies (YKES) is the proud organizer of the first international Human-Animal Studies conference held in Finland. Founded in 2004 as a network and established in 2009 as a society, YKES has since organized six national annual conferences, gained critical mass and a notable standing nationally and internationally. YKES publishes an international peer reviewed journal Trace. Trace will publish a special thematic issue after the conference with a selection of best papers presented.
